ALL ABOUT MIDWEST MILK LLC

Nicole Shoemaker RN, BSN, IBCLC:

I am a current hospital lactation consultant, RN IBCLC and owner of Midwest Milk LLC. I started my career as a RN BSN in 2006, which lead me to Women’s and Infant’s services in 2010. I fell in love with helping new and experienced mothers breastfeed. After spending a few years in Labor and Delivery, I made the switch to join the lactation team. For the past 10 of years, I have been working my dream job as an IBCLC.

 

When the world changed in 2020, I saw the negative impact and difficult challenges Covid posed on new mothers. As a mother of four children, it broke my heart. Breastfeeding can be challenging itself. Covid robbed mothers from the one-on-one and community-based care that is so vital to breastfeeding success to one year and beyond. I felt lead to make a change and decided to start a private practice lactation service called Midwest Milk.
